A few tips--otherwise, ugh. In a test, a girl who was fired for always being late for work was isolated and allowed to sleep, wake, and work whenever she felt like it. She accomplished great amounts of work, and slept wonderfully. She guessed she had been isolated about seven or eight days. It was closer to twenty-five days.

This is an older book on one Doctor's sleep research experiences and understanding of disorders. I found it to be interesting, but it is old enough that it has very little on sleep apnea, which is all the rage in sleep research. It also has a real bias against sleep medicines, and supports some ideas that are not so common in more recent books. Still has a lot of good information. Jun 10, Russell Hayes rated it it was ok Shelves: miscellaneous-nonfiction.
This is about as good as a book on this topic can be, I guess. Most of it is general common sense.

I didn't actually read this cover-to-cover. Instead, I read the parts that applied to me. I found this book to be really helpful. Pretty much a review of everything I'd ever studied about sleep hygiene. Not a lot of scientific evidence behind serious disturbances like delayed circadian rhythm disorder.
